The word COVENANT first appeared in the Bible in Genesis 6:18. This was the Old Covenant God promised to Noah.

• I WILL ESTABLISH MY COVENANT WITH YOU, and you will enter the ARK with your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives.  (Gen 6:18 HCSB)

Albert Barnes' Notes on the Bible, says:
The Covenant with Noah. Here is the first appearance of a Covenant between God and man on the face of Scripture. A Covenant is a solemn compact, tacit or express, between two parties, in which each is bound to perform his part. Hence, a Covenant implies the moral faculty; and wherever the moral faculty exists, there must needs be a Covenant. Consequently, between God and man there was of necessity a Covenant from the very beginning, though the name do not appear.

“My covenant.” The word “my” points to its original establishment with Adam. My primeval Covenant, which I am resolved not to abandon. “Will I establish.” Though Adam has failed, yet will I find means of maintaining my Covenant of life with the seed of the woman. “With thee.” Though all flesh be to perish through breach of my Covenant, yet will I uphold it with thee.

“Go into the ark.” This is the means of safety. Some may say in their hearts, this is a clumsy way to save Noah. But if he is to be saved, there must be some way. And it is not a sign of wisdom to prescribe the way to the All-wise. Rather let us reflect that the erection of this Ark was a daily warning to a wicked race, a deepening lesson of reliance on God to Noah and his household, and a most salutary occupation for the progenitors of the future race of Mankind. “And thy sons, etc.” Noah’s household share in the Covenant.-- BARNES 

Noah was an offspring of the sinful First Adam; therefore, God's judgement of "THOU SHALT SURELY DIE" applies to him and his Children (Genesis 2:17). Thus, the First (Old) Covenant God promised to Noah resulted to the Slavery of Sin and Death. 

As usual, Mankind broke this Covenant by not listening to Noah to enter the ARK => The only PLACE OF SAFETY during that time. Thus, the Global Flood came and destroyed all those People and Animals outside Noah's Ark of the Covenant.

GOD'S EVERLASTING COVENANT PRESERVED MANKIND

While the Old Covenant is still in effect, God's Promise to Noah of His New Everlasting Covenant tempered God's Wrath; saving and preserving Mankind (Isaiah 54:8-10).

• In a little wrath I hid My Face from thee for a moment; but with EVERLASTING KINDNESS will I have MERCY on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. (Isa 54:8 KJV)

• For this is LIKE THE DAYS OF NOAH to Me: when I swore that the waters of Noah would never flood the Earth again, so I HAVE SWORN THAT I WILL NOT BE ANGRY WITH YOU OR REBUKE YOU. (Isa 54:9 HCSB)

• For the Mountains shall depart, and the Hills be removed; but MY KINDNESS SHALL NOT DEPART FROM THEE, neither SHALL THE COVENANT OF MY PEACE BE REMOVED, saith the LORD that hath Mercy on thee. (Isa 54:10 KJV)

AFTER THE GLOBAL FLOOD, GOD PROMISED TO NOAH HIS EVERLASTING COVENANT

What is the "EVERLASTING COVENANT"? It is the Congregation of Yisrael (The NUKVA), which is the COVENANT.

Before the Flood, the clouds were thicker because the world in general was more coarse. After the Flood, the clouds became more refined and one could see a rainbow, a sign that man now had the ability to refine the coarse materiality of the world.

Thus, after the Global Flood that destroyed Mankind and the Earth, God promised Noah His New EVERLASTING COVENANT symbolized by the RAINBOW seen in the Clouds of the Sky (Genesis 9:11-13).

• I will establish My COVENANT with you. Neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a Flood. (Gen 9:11 MKJV)

• And God said, This is the TOKEN OF THE COVENANT which I make between Me and you and every living creature with you, for everlasting generations: I set my RAINBOW IN THE CLOUD. (Gen 9:12-13 MKJV)

The RAINBOW, which is the Mystery of the NUKVA, will be seen in the clouds in shining colors. This is likened to a Woman who adorns herself for her husband (Genesis 9:16, Revelation 21:2).

• The BOW shall be in the cloud; and I WILL LOOK UPON IT, that I MAY REMEMBER THE EVERLASTING COVENANT... (Gen 9:16 KJV)

And the VAV will join the HEI (according to the Holy Name YUD-HEI-VAV-HEI) and raise it from the dust, as God remembered His Covenant (Exodus 2:24).

• And God heard their groaning, and GOD REMEMBERED HIS COVENANT with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. (Exo 2:24 KJV)

THE BRILLIANT COLORS OF NOAH'S RAINBOW OF THE EVERLASTING COVENANT ALLUDES TO THE GLORIOUS RETURN OF CHRIST! 

• And it shall be, WHEN I BRING A CLOUD over the Earth, that the RAINBOW shall be seen in the Cloud. (Gen 9:14 MKJV) 

Genesis 9:14 described that DAY with the Cloud that The LORD Himself will bring: "And it shall be, WHEN I BRING A CLOUD." Only then shall the RAINBOW be seen in its unique Bright Appearance according to the secret of the phrase in  Ezekiel 1:28, "the appearance of the likeness of the Glory of the LORD," and not at any other time. 

• As the appearance of the RAINBOW that is in the Cloud in the day of Rain, so was the appearance of the Brightness round about. This was THE APPEARANCE OF THE LIKENESS OF THE GLORY OF THE LORD. (Eze 1:28 KJV)

• And I will look upon it that I may remember the EVERLASTING COVENANT between God and every living creature of ALL FLESH that is upon the Earth. (Gen 9:16 MKJV)

The Glory of the Lord's Everlasting Covenant shown by the RAINBOW seen in a Cloud alludes to the Glorious Return of Christ; coming from the Clouds of Heaven with Power and Great Glory (Ezekiel 1:28, Matthew 24:30, 37).

• And then shall appear the SIGN of the Son of Man in Heaven: and then shall all the Tribes of the Earth mourn, and THEY SHALL SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN with POWER and GREAT GLORY. (Mat 24:30 KJV)

• As the DAYS OF NOAH were, SO SHALL BE THE COMING OF THE SON OF MAN. (Mat 24:37 MKJV)  

This is why the Zohar states that “one should not expect the coming of Moshiach until the rainbow is seen...in shining colors" (Zohar 1:72b).

The Everlasting Covenant was offered to the First Adam. But, Adam broke this Covenant by eating from the forbidden TREE of Knowledge of GOOD & EVIL (Hosea 6:7).  

The KNOWLEDGE in the forbidden TREE is impure, the GOOD being mixed with EVIL or half-truths and half-lies. Therefore, the KNOWLEDGE from this TREE is deceiving and leads to DEATH (Genesis 2:17, Proverbs 14:12, 16:25).  

If only Adam ate from the TREE OF LIFE, then Mankind would have attained the Everlasting Covenant. But, the primordial Human Sin broke the Everlasting Covenant. This First Sin disqualified Mankind for the TRUE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD from the TREE OF LIFE, which is God's MESSIANIC KABBALAH WISDOM (Genesis 3:22-24, Hosea 6:6-7, Proverbs 3:13, 18).

• For I DESIRED Mercy, and not Sacrifice; and the [MESSIANIC KABBALAH] KNOWLEDGE OF GOD more than BURNT OFFERINGS. (Hos 6:6 KJV) 

• But they, LIKE ADAM, have BROKEN THE COVENANT. They were UNFAITHFUL to me, there. (Hos 6:7 HNV)

This MESSIANIC KABBALAH WISDOM is the TRUE GOSPEL of the Melchizedek's EVERLASTING COVENANT.

THE OLD COVENANT IS CONDITIONAL UPON MANKIND'S DECISION. THE NEW COVENANT IS UNCONDITIONAL, WHICH IS BASED ON GOD'S OATH

The following are the other SCRIPTURES about the OATH OF GOD He made about the EVERLASTING COVENANT (Deuteronomy 29:12-15, Psalms 105:8-10, Luke 1:72-73). 

• ...ENTER INTO THE COVENANT OF THE LORD YOUR GOD, which He is making with you today, so that you may ENTER INTO HIS OATH (Deu 29:12 HCSB)

• that He may establish you today as His people and He may be your God as He promised you and as HE SWORE to your FATHERS ABRAHAM, ISAAC, and  JACOB. (Deu 29:13 HCSB)

• I AM MAKING THIS COVENANT and this OATH NOT ONLY WITH YOU, but also... WITH THOSE WHO ARE NOT HERE TODAY. (Deu 29:14-15 HCSB)

• HE HAS REMEMBERED HIS COVENANT FOREVER... The COVENANT which He made with Abraham, and HIS OATH to Isaac; and He confirmed it to Jacob for a Law, and to Israel for an EVERLASTING COVENANT. (Psa 105:8-10 MKJV)

• ...TO REMEMBER HIS HOLY COVENANT; The OATH which He sware to our Father Abraham, (Luk 1:72-73 KJV)

The OLD COVENANT IS EQUIVALENT TO HAGAR & JERUSALEM ON EARTH, WHICH IS SUBJECT TO THE SLAVERY OF SIN

In Galatians 4:22-30, Apostle Paul depicted the two wives of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar, as symbols of the TWO (2) COVENANTS or JERUSALEMS. These are the temporary Old Covenant vs the Everlasting NEW COVENANT; or the Jerusalem on Earth vs the NEW JERUSALEM of Heaven (Galatians 4:25-26). 

• …These are THE TWO COVENANTS, one indeed from Mount Sinai bringing forth to SLAVERY, which is HAGAR. (Gal 4:24 MKJV) 

• For HAGAR is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to Jerusalem which now is, and is IN SLAVERY WITH HER CHILDREN. (Gal 4:25 MKJV)

• But THE JERUSALEM FROM ABOVE IS FREE, who is the MOTHER OF US ALL. (Gal 4:26 MKJV)

This Old Covenant promised to Noah corresponds to Hagar and Mount Sinai which are subject to Sin and Slavery (Galatians 4:25). Unfortunately, all the Churches in the World today are teaching only the Old Covenant Doctrines, which cannot give Eternal Salvation. This is the reason why Christ rejects them all (Matthew 7:21-23, 8:11-12, Galatians 4:30).

Nevertheless, the First (Old) Covenant was imperfect and subject to the slavery of sin. Therefore, this Old Covenant must be replaced by the New Perfect Everlasting Covenant.

• For if that First (Old) Covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. (Heb 8:7 KJV)

• For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a NEW COVENANT with the House of ISRAEL and with the House of JUDAH: (Heb 8:8 KJV) 

• NOT ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT that I made with their Fathers… because THEY CONTINUED NOT IN MY COVENANT, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. (Heb 8:9 KJV)

WHY WAS CHRIST BAPTISED BY JOHN THE BAPTIST? The Transfer of The LEVITICAL PRIESTHOOD To The MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD of CHRIST

Like the separation of Church and State in the World today, the Levitical Priesthood is separate from the Kingship. But, the coming REIGN OF CHRIST is a union of Church and State. This is the kind of Government in the Everlasting MELCHIZEDEK PRIESTHOOD of CHRIST. And for Christ to be the High-Priest after the order of  Melchizedek, the mantle of the existing Levitical  PRIESTHOOD must be transferred to Him. And the Mantle of Priesthood is transferred via Baptism by the legitimate or Legal High-Priest, which is John the Baptist at this time. Thus, John the Baptist conceded to Christ's request for Water Baptism when Christ explained to him the purpose of His Baptism (Matthew 3:15).

Christ's Water Baptism pictured His Death and Resurrection, as the Savior of Mankind. But, the main reason why Christ was baptised by John the Baptist is to TRANSFER the Authority of the High-Priesthood of the temporary Levitical Priesthood to Christ's Eternal Melchizedek High-Priesthood.

• Then Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan, to John, to be baptized by him. (Mat 3:13 MKJV)

The JORDAN River is the geographical point of Change. Now, let's understand what really happened during that CHANGE. At first, John the Baptist resisted, as he did not understand why Christ came to him for water Baptism (Matthew 3:14).

• But John restrained Him, saying, I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?  (Mat 3:14 MKJV)

John the Baptist is the legitimate High Priest of the Levitical Priesthood at that time. He stayed in the Wilderness because corrupt Israel in Jerusalem will surely reject him. Israel in Jerusalem was led by Caiaphas => The corrupt High Priest.

And for Christ to offer His Blood as the ultimate cleansing Sacrifice, he has to be a High Priest after the order of Melchizedek. Matthew Chapter 1 and particularly Chapter 2:1-2 proved that Christ has the right to the Kingship, or is a King.

• Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the King, behold, there came WISE MEN from the East to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is BORN KING OF THE JEWS? (Mat 2:1-2 KJV)

But, for Christ to be the High-Priest after the order of  Melchizedek, the mantle of the existing Levitical  PRIESTHOOD must be transferred to Him. And the Mantle of Priesthood is always transferred via Baptism by the legitimate or Legal High-Priest, which is John the Baptist at this time. Thus, Christ explained to John the purpose of His Baptism (Matthew 3:15).

So, Christ was immersed in water as a KING (Malki), and came out as the Heavenly MALKI-TZEDEK (King of All Righteousness).

The HEAVENLY ORDINATION OF CHRIST AS THE HIGH PRIEST AFTER THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK 

Right here, we see the ordination of Christ as the MELCHIZEDEK => The High-Priest of the Everlasting New Covenant. The ordination was done by God The Father and the Holy Spirit from Heaven (Matthew 3:16-17, Hebrews 5:5-6, Psalms 110:4).  

• And lo, the Heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a Dove and lighting upon Him.  (Mat 3:16 MKJV)

• And lo, a voice from Heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.  (Mat 3:17 MKJV)

• …He who said to Him, "YOU ARE MY SON, today I have begotten You." As He says also in another place (Psalms 110:4), "YOU ARE A PRIEST FOREVER after the ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK." (Heb 5:5-6 MKJV)

And at this very hour of Christ's Baptism, the temporal Levitical Priesthood was transferred to Christ's Everlasting MELCHIZEDEK Priesthood (Hebrews 7:12, 10:9-10). 

• For the PRIESTHOOD BEING CHANGED (Greek Metatithemi = To TRANSFER), there is made of necessity A CHANGE (TRANSFER) also of the LAW. (Heb 7:12 KJV)

• He said, "...I come to DO YOUR WILL, O God." HE TAKES AWAY the FIRST so that He may ESTABLISH the SECOND. By this WILL we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Heb 10:9-10 MKJV)

HOW CHRIST'S ETERNAL PRIESTHOOD OF MELCHIZEDEK WAS PRESERVED

GOD The FATHER had SWORN or made an OATH that He made Christ as the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Psalms 110:4, Hebrews 5:5-6)

• The LORD HAS SWORN, and will not change His mind: "You are a Kohen (Priest) forever in the order of Malki-Tzedek." (Psa 110:4 HNV)

• …the Messiah did not exalt Himself to become a HIGH PRIEST, but the One who said to Him, You are My Son; today I have become Your Father, also said in another passage, You are a Priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. (Heb 5:5-6 HCSB) 

Caiaphas (The corrupt High-Priest) put Christ under oath to tell who really is He (Matthew 26:63). If Christ will not tell the Truth, He sins (disqualifying Himself as the sinless Messiah). This is according to Leviticus 5:1. 

• IF ANYONE SINS, in that he HEARS THE VOICE OF ADJURATION, he being a witness, whether he has seen or known, IF HE DOESN'T REPORT IT, then HE SHALL BEAR HIS INIQUITY. (Lev 5:1 HNV)

Leviticus 5:1 pertains to a Man who has been put upon his oath as a witness by a magistrate, and fails to utter all he has seen and heard. In other words, this is about one who conceals the Truth, when he was sworn as a witness to speak the Truth. If, for whatever reason, a man refuses to tell the Truth, or gives it only partially, he shall bear his iniquity.

In other words, Leviticus 5:1 is the SIN OFFERING for hiding Knowledge, or not telling the Truth. But, Christ told the Truth (Matthew 26:64). And the immediate response of Caiaphas disqualified himself as the High-Priest (Matthew 26:65, Leviticus 10:6).

• And they who had seized JESUS led Him away to CAIAPHAS the HIGH PRIEST, where the Scribes and the Elders had assembled. (Mat 26:57 MKJV)

• …two false witnesses came up and said, This one said, I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days. (Mat 26:60-61 MKJV)

• And standing up, the High Priest (Caiaphas) said to Him, Do you answer nothing? What is it that these witness against you? (Mat 26:62 MKJV)

• But Jesus was silent. And the High Priest answered and said to Him, I ADJURE YOU BY THE LIVING GOD that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God. (Mat 26:63 MKJV)

• Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter SHALL YE SEE THE SON OF MAN SITTING on the RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING in the CLOUDS OF HEAVEN. (Mat 26:64 KJV)

• Then the HIGH PRIEST RENT HIS CLOTHES, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy... (Mat 26:65 KJV)

CAIAPHAS TEARING OF HIS HIGH-PRIEST ROBE SENTENCED HIM TO DIE AND DISQUALIFIED HIMSELF FROM BEING HIGH-PRIEST 

Caiaphas renting his clothes disqualified himself for being High Priest; even he deserving DEATH (Leviticus 10:6).

• And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his Sons, Uncover not your heads, NEITHER REND YOUR CLOTHES; LEST YE DIE, and lest wrath come upon all the people... (Lev 10:6 KJV) 

And to protect the Life and Position of the High Priest, God gave the Command in Exodus 28:31-32, making sure that the High Priest's ROBE does not tear.

• "You are to make the robe of the Ephod entirely of Blue Yarn. There should be an opening at its top in the center of it. Around the opening, there should be a woven collar with an opening like that for BODY ARMOR so that IT DOES NOT TEAR. (Exo 28:31-32 HCSB) 

CHRIST ROBE/COAT OF HIGH-PRIESTHOOD WAS NEVER TORN; PRESERVING HIS PRIESTHOOD AFTER THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK

• Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments... and also His coat: now THE COAT WAS WITHOUT SEAM, WOVEN FROM THE TOP THROUGHOUT. (Joh 19:23 KJV)

• They said therefore among themselves, LET US NOT REND IT, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the Scripture might be fulfilled (Psalms 22:18), which saith …and for My VESTURE they did cast lots. (Joh 19:24 KJV) 

Thus, for 2,000 years (from the First Century A.D. to the 21st Century End-Time), the only legitimate HIGH PRIEST is Jesus Christ after the order of MELCHIZEDEK.
