YOM KIPPUR (Day of Atonement) Is The INVERSE of PURIM. But, The Objective is The Same: To Be NEAR and CLOSE To GOD The FATHER. You Must Have a Sincere Heart Check-Up and Examination!

ESTHER entered the King's Inner Chamber, taking all the Risks. And being ready for its consequences; POSITIVE or NEGATIVE! If she does not find favor in the King's eyes, she could be executed. She prepares herself SPIRITUALLY through Fasting and Prayer.

PURIM = THE INVERSE OF YOM KIPPUR OR DAY OF ATONEMENT

When Haman's EVIL plot reached Esther, she fasts and then hosts a Ffeast of her own.
  • Go and assemble all the Jews who can be found in Susa and fast for me. Don't eat or drink for three days, night and day. I and my female servants will also fast in the same way. (Est 4:16 HCSB)
  • ...If it seem good unto the King, let the King and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him. (Est 5:4 KJV)
Esther did the inverse of the Yom Kippur where First we eat, and then Fast (Leviticus 23:27).
  • Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a DAY (Yom) OF ATONEMENT (Kippur): it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls (Nephesh), and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.  (Lev 23:27 KJV)
Purim and Yom Kippur are mirror images of each other representing an inverse in sequence of approach or behavior.

THE SIMILARITY AND DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PURIM AND YOM KIPPUR

Although the sequence of approaches are in reverse between Purim and Yom Kippur, the objective is the same: To be NEAR and in CLOSE RELATIONSHIP with GOD The FATHER!

The BIG difference is that, in Purim, we take a forced entry in the presence of the great King of the Universe, while in Yom Kippur, it is God who comes near to us for a personal visit and relationship! In other words, in Purim we took the initiative, while in Yom Kippur, God takes the initiative.

THERE MUST BE A SINCERE HEART CHECK-UP AND EXAMINATION: Carefully Examine Your Heart's Desires and Connection!

To thwart Haman's evil plan to exterminate all the Jews in the World, Esther did two things. First, she and Mordechai inspired the Jewish people to DO Teshuvah or Repentance by fasting (Esther 4:16).
  • Go and assemble all the Jews who can be found in Susa and fast for me. Don't eat or drink for three days, night and day. I and my female servants will also fast in the same way. After that, I will go to the King even if it is against the Law. If I perish, I perish. (Est 4:16 HCSB)
Esther realized that the key to saving her people was to reestablish the close relationship between God and Israel on its original terms. God's people must repent of their reliance to a political source. They must rely and depend only from their True Provider => The Great Almighty God of the Heavens. They must now push through the gate of God's dwelling in Heaven with their fasting and prayer, and beg for God's Mercy and Compassion.

Thus, Esther rectified the error of those who enjoyed the Persian King's worldly feast. Esther's courageous approach to deal with the threat of the annihilation decree against God's people showed the right way how to be saved. This humble but bold attitude solicits God's Mercy and Grace that saved God's people.

It was necessary for God's people to look deep inside themselves and examine their personal connection and relationship to God, whether it is STRONG enough, or it is to the point of being DISCONNECTED

Thus, for God's people to escape the Royal decree of Destruction and Death, they have to go up and enter God's Presence. This is the inner meaning of the continuation of Esther 4:16. "... I will go to the King even if it is against the Law."

This means that our Souls must ascend to its most intimate level of communion with The King -- our Father in Heaven; higher than sound judgment -- "Against the Law."

After that, Esther invited Haman to a Feast with the King (Esther 5:4).
  • ...If it seem good unto the King, let the King and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him. (Est 5:4 KJV)
