The BIBLE Verse Where The Name (YHVH = Yud Hei Vav Hei) of The LORD GOD Is HIDDEN In The BOOK OF ESTHER

Of all the Books of the Bible (New and Old Testament), only the Book of Esther does not mention the Name of God openly, not even once. Why? Actually, the Name of God (YHVH) is mentioned in Esther 5:4;  only in a hidden way.

The hiding of God in the Book of Esther is the fulfillment of God's declaration that He will hide His Face from His people because of their sins (Deuteronomy 31:18).
  • I will certainly HIDE My Face on that day because of all the EVIL  they have done by turning to other gods.  (Deu 31:18 HCSB)
But, although God hid His Face, He is still in the background not allowing the complete destruction of His Covenant People from the Earth.

The VERSE WHERE THE NAME OF GOD IS HIDDEN IN THE BOOK OF ESTHER
  • ...If it seem good unto the King, let the King and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him. (Est 5:4 KJV)
It is here, in Esther 5:4 that God's name, which is not mentioned explicitly in the entire book of Esther, that it appears as the initials of the words "Let the King and Haman come this day..."

The four words are: Yabo' Hammelek Vehamah Hayyom

The name of YHVH is read in the invitation, implying that there would be a Fourth Person at that Banquet.

The Companion Bible called this as the second Acrostic (Esther 5:4), which is formed by the initial letters, for The LORD is initiating His action; and the name is spelt forward because He is ruling and causing Esther to act; and take the first step, which was to lead up to so great an END.

Thus, the Salvation of God's people came through a miraculous chain of events which completely turned the wheel of fortune from destruction to renewed life, from Physical to Spiritual, and from mourning to gladness. And also from the wrong observance of Feasts and Parties, to the RIGHT USE and OBSERVANCE of Feasts and Parties.
