GOOD VERSUS EVIL. Can a God of Love and Peace Create Evil?
GOD is the First, the #1, the Creator, and the Cause of everything. He is the source and reason of all that exists, including evil. Evil exists because of the distance or absence of God. Good exists because of the closeness or presence of God. Another definition of EVIL is the quality of being unfinished, or incomplete.

Many people find it hard to believe that a God of love and peace will create evil. But God Himself admitted that it is He who created both good and evil, light and darkness (Isa 45:7).
- I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I am the LORD, that doeth all these things. (Isa 45:7 JPS)
- I am the LORD, and there is none else, beside Me there is no God...That they may know from the rising of the sun (East), and from the west, that there is none beside Me; I am the LORD; and there is none else. (Isa 45:5-6 Jewish Publication Society Bible)
There is ONLY ONE CREATOR GOD. And Good and Evil, including Satan, the agent of Evil, do exist because GOD created them all, for His own purpose. The wife of Job cannot accept this truth that GOD also create and send evil, even to the righteous people like Job (Job 2:10).
- But he (Job) said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. (Job 2:10 KJV)
ALTHOUGH GOD CREATED EVIL, THERE IS NO EVIL IN HIMSELF
Although God created evil, there is no evil in Himself. God is Holy and Divine, which means Pure Good. And Man was created to acquire the same characteristics and quality. This is what it means when God declared the purpose of the creation of man in Genesis 1:26.
- Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness..." God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God... (Gen 1:26-27 HCSB)
