GOD'S LAW OF MEASURE FOR MEASURE! With the Same Measure That a Person or a Nation Measures, He Gets Measured From Above! Whatever a Man Sows, He Shall Also Reap! Evil for Evil, and Good for Good! The Return or Harvest Could Be Even More!

If you are tempted to do Wrong or Evil, don't forget this important LAW in our lives: WHATEVER A MAN SOWS, HE WILL ALSO REAP. That according as we behave ourselves now, so will our account be in the Judgment Day. Our present time is seed-time or planting time. The great harvesting time is fast approaching. And as a farmer reaps in the harvest according to what he planted, so we shall reap then as we sow now.

THE LAW OF RETALIATION AND THE RULE OF PROPORTION
  • With the judgment you use, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. (Mat 7:2)
The judging of those that judge others is according to the Law of Retaliation and the Rule of Proportion. The righteous God, in his judgments, often observes a rule of proportion (Rev 18:6-7). God will proportion the punishment of sinners to the measure of their wickedness, pride, comfort/luxury, and security. This is exemplified by God's judgment to Babylon, the Mystery Religion (Revelation 18:6).
  • Pay her back the way she also paid, and double it according to her works. In the cup in which she mixed, mix a double portion for her. (Rev 18:6)
  • As much as she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, give her that much torment and grief. Because she says in her heart, 'I sit as queen; I am not a widow, and I will never see grief,' (Rev 18:7)
Thus GOD will be justified and magnified in His judgments, and all flesh will be silenced before Him. "For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you." Let this divine principle prevent us from all severity in the way we conduct our lives, and in dealing with our fellow human beings.
  • Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure--pressed down, shaken together, and running over--will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you." (Luke 6:38)
WHAT SHALL WE DO WHEN GOD RISES UP TO JUDGE US? HOW SHOULD WE ANSWER HIM WHEN WE ARE CALLED TO ACCOUNT?
  • What could I do when God stands up to judge? How should I answer Him when He calls me to account? (Job 31:14)
What would become of us, when God should be as exact and even severe in judging us, as we judged our brethren and neighbors; if He should weigh us in the same balance?

We may justly expect it; if we abuse, neglect, or be extreme to mark what other people do wrong, as we perceive their actions and words. In this, as in other things, the violent dealings of men against their fellow human beings will return upon their own heads. And the punishment could be doubled or even multiplied 7 times!
  • But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. (Jer 21:14 KJV)
  • For the Day of the LORD is near, against all the nations. As you have done, so it will be done to you; what you deserve will return on your own head.  (Oba 1:15)
WHATEVER YOU PLANT IN THIS WORLD, THAT WOULD BE YOUR HARVEST. EVIL FOR EVIL, GOOD FOR GOOD.

PLANT GOOD SEEDS NOW AND UPROOT YOUR BAD SEEDS!

Remember this: the person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. (2Co 9:6)
  • Don't be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap, because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. (Gal 6:7-8)
Don't forget this important rule in our lives: WHATEVER A MAN SOWS HE WILL ALSO REAP. That according as we behave ourselves now, so will our account be in the judgment day. Our present time is seed-time or planting time. The great harvesting time is fast approaching. And as a farmer reaps in the harvest according to what he planted, so we shall reap then as we sow now.

As there are two kinds of seedlings (sowing to the FLESH and sowing to the SPIRIT), so accordingly will the reckoning be hereafter: If we sow to the flesh, we shall of the flesh reap corruption. If we sow the wind, we shall reap the whirlwind.

The TWO SEEDS TO PLANT:

1) SEED OF THE FLESH
2) SEED OF THE SPIRIT

PICK AND PLANT THE RIGHT SEED!

People who live and work a carnal and sensual life, whose main goal in life is to savor the pleasures of the flesh, instead of employing themselves to the honor of God and the good of others, are planting seeds in the flesh. They spend all their thoughts, time, money, and influence in the flesh; therefore, they must expect no other fruit of such a course than corruption and death - a short-lived satisfaction at present, and shame and misery at the end.

On the other hand, those who Sow to the SPIRIT, who under the guidance and influence of God's Holy Spirit do live a holy and spiritual life, a life of usefulness to others, can rejoice upon it, that of the Spirit they shall reap Blessings, Honor, and Eternal Life.

Some people go about to mock God and deceive themselves. Hypocrisy in religion is the greatest folly as well as wickedness, since God can easily see through all our disguises, and will certainly deal with us hereafter, not according to our beliefs only, but according to our actions and speeches.

MORE MEASURE FOR MEASURE SCRIPTURES

  • With the MERCIFUL, You will show Yourself MERCIFUL; with an upright man You will show Yourself upright; (Psa 18:25 MKJV)
  • With the MERCIFUL you will show yourself MERCIFUL. With the PERFECT man you will show yourself PERFECT. (2Sam 22:26 HNV)
  • Be MERCIFUL, just as your Father also is MERCIFUL. (Luke 6:36)
  • Blessed are the MERCIFUL, because they will be shown MERCY. (Mat 5:7)
Those that show MERCY to others shall find MERCY with God when the time comes that they need MERCY (Matthew 5:7). And those that show no mercy to others, will also be given no mercy when they desperately need mercy.
  • And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. (Mat 6:12)
  • For if you forgive people their wrongdoing, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well. (Mat 6:14)
  • But if you don't forgive people, your Father will not forgive your wrongdoing. (Mat 6:15)
  • With the PURE You will show Yourself PURE; and With the PERVERTED You will appear PERVERSE. (2Sam 22:27 MKJV)
  • With the PURE You will show Yourself PURE; and with the CROOKED You will show Yourself PERVERSE. (Psa 18:26 MKJV)
Those that are faithful to God's Covenant, shall be protected with that Covenant, and all those Covenant promises will be granted to them.

Wherever God finds an upright man, he will be found an upright God. Those that serve God with a pure conscience shall find that the words of the Lord are pure words, very sure to be depended on and very sweet to be delight in. Those that resist God, and walk contrary to him, shall find that he will resist them, and walk contrary to them (Leviticus 26:21, 24).
  • The LORD is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you. (2Ch 15:2)
  • "If you act with hostility toward Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will multiply your plagues 7 times for your sins. (Lev 26:21)
  • If in spite of these things you do not accept My discipline, but act with hostility toward Me, then I will act with hostility toward you; I also will strike you 7 times for your sins. (Lev 26:23-24)
  • Just as the LORD was glad to cause you to prosper and to multiply you, so He will also be glad to cause you to perish and to destroy you. (Deu 28:63)
Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible, says:
That multitudes of them should perish, so that they should become few in number, Deu_28:62. It was a nation that God had wonderfully increased, so that they were as the stars of heaven for multitude; but, for their sin, they were diminished and brought low, Psa_107:38, Psa_107:39.

It is computed that in the destruction of the Jewish nation by the Romans, as appears by the account Josephus gives of it, above two millions fell by the sword at several places, besides what perished by famine and pestilence; so that the whole country was laid waste and turned into a wilderness. That is a terrible word (Deu_28:63), As the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, so he will rejoice over you to destroy you.

Behold here the GOODNESS and SEVERITY of God: mercy here shines brightly in the pleasure God takes in doing good - he rejoices in it; yet justice here appears no less illustrious in the pleasure he takes in destroying the impenitent; not as it is the making of his creatures miserable, but as it is the asserting of his own honour and the securing of the ends of his government. See what a malignant mischievous thing sin is, which (as I may say) makes it necessary for the God of infinite goodness to rejoice in the destruction of his own creatures, even those that had been favourites. -- HENRY

IT IS TO OUR BENEFIT IF WE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS VERY IMPORTANT TRUTH IN LIFE!
  • ...Take heed what you hear. With that measure which you measure, it shall be measured to you. And to you who hear, more shall be given. (Mar 4:24 MKJV)
