The LAW OF THE TEMPLE: The 3RD TEMPLE ABOVE Was Started To Be Built At The Destruction of The 1st Temple!



After the destruction of the 1st Temple, the prophet Ezekiel immediately saw the 3rd Temple above. However, the New Structure was not revealed in the lower world. Only in the future will it be revealed. But in the Upper World, from that day on, so it was and so it is. That is why Ezekiel saw it, for it was already built and standing. And the two Temples, above and below, would have been perfectly aligned.

Our Physical world is an exact reflection of the Spiritual Upper World. Thus, the well-known Kabbalistic phrase, "As Above, so Below." The forces of the upper world influence and animate all events in this physical world, except for the actions of men. In turn, our deeds here in the lower world cause a stirring in the upper world.

According to Ramchal (18th century Italian Rabbi), after the destruction of the 1st Temple, the prophet Ezekiel immediately saw the 3rd Temple above.

THE LAW OF THE TEMPLE 

… DESCRIBE THE TEMPLE to the house of Israel, so that they may be ashamed of their iniquities. Let them measure its pattern, and they will be ashamed of all that they have done. REVEAL THE DESIGN OF THE TEMPLE to them -- its layout with its exits and entrances -- its complete design along with all its statutes, design specifications, and laws. WRITE IT DOWN IN THEIR SIGHT… (Eze 43:10-11 HCSB)

THE SIN OF KING SOLOMON AND OTHERS CAUSED THE DESTRUCTION OF THE FIRST TEMPLE

The Temple above never ceased to exist even though the Temple below was destroyed. The Temple in this world could only be built through the great power of Messianic Kabbalah LIGHTS (the so-called SEFIROT). In the absence of this Power the Temple could not remain in this world. But this did not mean that the Heavenly Temple had to be destroyed. It simply became darkened and did not shine as at first.

The sin of King Solomon and the increase of sinners caused the destruction of the 1st Temple that was built according to God's initial design. When this happened, the Heavenly Temple no longer stood in its original form. 

In a single moment the Heavenly Temple disappeared and was rebuilt in a different form and structure: that of the future Temple. One building disappeared and the other appeared without so much as a hairsbreadth between them.

However, the New Structure was not revealed in the lower world. Only in the future will it be revealed. But in the upper world, from that day on the 3rd Temple already existed. That is why Ezekiel saw it, for it was already built and standing.

WHY THE SHECHINA OR HOLY SPIRIT WAS PRESENT IN THE 1ST TEMPLE, BUT ABSENT IN THE 2ND TEMPLE

Because God's people failed to improve their ways; the Jews during Ezra's time did not have the strength and wisdom to build the 2nd Temple according to the entire plan of the future 3rd Temple. They built the 2nd Temple from the specifications of the 1st Temple incorporating some of the design specifications from the 3rd Temple as they understood it from Ezekiels vision. This means that they were not able to build the 2nd Temple exactly like the 3rd Temple above.

Thus, in the time of Solomon the two Temples – the lower Temple, in this world and the upper Temple, in Heaven – were in perfect alignment, and therefore, the Shechinah dwelled in the earthly Temple.

The Shechina or the Holy Spirit dwells only in the Lower Temple when there is perfect alignment between the Upper and Lower Temples. 

But the 2nd Temple was not similar to the Heavenly Temple and the Shechinah did not dwell in it. So it was destroyed also.

CORRUPTION OF THE HIGH PRIESTHOOD

Another reason for the destruction of the 2nd Temple is the corruption of the High Priesthood. Because of this, the High Priests died or were replaced every year. And yet people aspired for the job, which went to the highest bidder. If he was going to die on Yom Kippur, why would he want the position of the High Priest?

Many of the candidates strongly believed that their incorrect Temple service was actually the correct way to do it. But, if the High Priest is not spiritually pure and unable to focus, he would not be able to stand the intense encounter with God and would die on the spot. There was even a rope tied to the High Priest, so that in case he died, he could be pulled out of the Holy of Holies. That's how bad things went then!
